First-time parents find new allies in journey to safer births

When you become a parent of this generation, the first thing you do is google everything about pregnancy. Social media has played a big role in our decision during our pregnancy period. I was actually envy that there such a thing like this so that you don’t feel alone and vulnerable for nine months.  It’s a different thing talking to parents to be like you.

The importance of social media and technology were also felt by health agencies and that is why FWD Life Philippines President and CEO Peter Grimes believes that combined efforts by a consortium of like-minded advocates will only help make safer births more achievable for Filipino families.

The consortium—spearheaded by FWD in partnership with the Department of Health (DoH) and the University of the Philippines-National Institutes of Health (UP-NIH), among others—is seen to become instrumental in building a community that actively helps first-time parents prepare for the wide range of health and financial risks tied to pregnancy. Complementing the consortium is FWD’s community parenting app for expectant parents, “Ready to Parent”.

Oh yes, oh yes, I am so happy. For a parent like who’s earning allocated to education, family consumable and city services, its nice to  hear good news once in a while.

In relation with our city services particularly the electric consumption, we are doing everything in our power to lower our monthly consumption for it will mean less expenses and more saving.

My Weekend Celebration with #CelebrateWelness

I have attending event for quite some time now and I was happy that Robinson’s Supermarket provides an event that was for the whole family and a lot of learning about wellness and health.

A 2 day event was held at Eastwood Open Park last Aug. 6-7, 2016. Celebrate was the theme for this, the fourth leg of its yearlong Route to Wellness promo. There were lots of games and prizes, plus brand sampling as well.

The Route to Wellness is a series of promos which started in March with Explore, Learn in May and the Wellness Festival in July. It will culminate with Give in December where more wellness rewards will be given away to customers. Customers are encouraged to collect at least 5 stamps at every promo period to get a P100 Robinson’s gift certificate.
