“Great Little Moments” Campaign Promo by Sensodyne

Last year, GlaxoSmithKline, the makers of Sensodyne, the #1 sensitivity toothpaste in the Philippines which is also recommended by dentists, spearheaded the “Say No to Ngilo” advocacy where dentists, consumers and Sensodyne came together to enjoin everyone to heed the call to take action to no longer endure the discomfort of pangingilo.

In 2015, GSK and Sensodyne takes the advocacy a notch higher with the launch of “Great Little Moments” digital campaign which encourages Filipinos not only to “Say No to Ngilo,” but also share their experiences after converting to Sensodyne and how they are able to fully enjoy their great little moments sensitivity-free.

Sensodyne Mouthwash Launched

Sensitive teeth mean discomfort; well I have a share of those discomforts every time I’m eating or drinking something hot or cold. Just imagine the discomfort; those sudden jolt of pain every time it touches the sensitive teeth; to the point that I have to be careful when eating and drinking. Believe it or not but there are times that I am only using half of my mouth just so not to touch those sensitive teeth (well there are actually four of them).Characterized by a short, sharp, shooting pain, which many sensitivity/pangingilo sufferers often choose to just endure, the discomfort caused by sensitive teeth may only last for a short period, but the emotional effects of missing out on those precious moments with our loved ones over food and drinks has a far longer impact. Sensitive teeth occur when the layer of enamel becomes thin and exposes the softer dentine underneath. This soft layer makes up the inner part of the tooth leading to the tooth’s nerve center and triggers the pain you feel.

I was able to attend an event today that inform me that I am not alone because 9 out of 10 Filipinos  suffer from sensitive teeth or pangingilo, “sensitive” is a bit of an understatement to describe the delicate condition of  our  teeth.  The event was held at Makati Shangri-La and was attended by media, bloggers and guest

New Look, Better Ambiance but Still Affordable; That's my Gerry's Grill

During celebration or just ordinary get together, there’s this place that we often visit if we want to get a taste of  Filipino food. I have been to their several branches and I always enjoy the ambience and definite coming back for more when it comes to food. My all-time favorite  is their Kare-Kare, there no way that it’s not in the list.

And good things last a long long time and they become bigger and better  because I got to visit their additional  branches in Metro Manila.
First , there’s Gerry’s Grill Megamall, located at the Ground floor, Mega Strip B of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong

Gerry’s Grill Megamall

Gerry’s Grill  set a new standard to ensure that they provide customers not only the best Filipino dishes but fast, efficient service and a cozy ambiance. They want diners to have that experience of being in a restaurant where they will feel relaxed, and comfortable
It is important that guests feast not only with what they eat but with what they see inside the restaurant. That’s the principle behind the two restaurants' new looks.

At Gerry’s Megamall, the main wall of the dining area is decked with foliage, which is installed with a fully automated water system to nourish them.  “The lighting is calibrated in a way that it has the same effect as sunlight. Nothing could be more refreshing

 The Place .................

The Food ........................
Manggang Hilaw, OMG, super sarap ng matching bagoong

Sinigang na Hipon, Super asim , yummmmmmy

Tilapia with Talong, so crispy  and the talong is a perfect match

Kangkong , Oh my Kangkong

Do I stil say what this is?, I bet you know this even with your eyes close, just hear the sizzling and the smell

Bangus Inihaw, Perfect
For my 2nd stop, Gerry's Grill Aseana, along Macapagal Ave
Meantime, the 250-seater Aseana branch sports an updated version of Old Manila surrounded by balconies, as well as, huge windows of varying designs. Chairs are a mix and match design which is a first for them. Gerry’s Grill  wants guests to feel that they are enjoying their favorite Gerry’s dishes with family and friends in a huge patio.
Remember the old joke about a guest wanting to take out “ambiance” so that they can slash the total bill? Gerry’s Grill is the same, a place  where I can enjoy my favorite comfort food – Kare Kare, Crispy Pata, Grilled Pusit, and many others. Gerry’s Grill  put a premium on ambiance but the  prices remain the same. They are so  affordable.

Gerry’s currently has 71 branches nationwide. It has two branches in the US and Singapore, and soon to be two in Qatar as well.
Gerry’s Group of Companies has expanded its brand concepts – Gerry’s Plus, Ramen Sora, Sweet Chili, and Kusina ng Gerry’s. Yakitori Binchotan is set to be launched next month in Cebu.

Have a taste of the best of southern living

It booming ……………… that’s the south.

I used to think that Alabang is a far away land from the Metro but on the rate that it’s going right now; I’m just a walk away from it now. With all the necessary amenities that are close to the Avid Towers Altura Tower 2, investing to this place is something I could think about. I’m a person who is always on a look for a new way to earn and real state is one of them.
A new place to check and it was nice to visit it and just in time for a good time to have a food trip. A second-helping in all aspects could not be resisted at the Avida Towers Altura Tower 2 “Park ‘n Dine at South Park District” event. It was a gastronomic feast with food trucks of various cuisines assembled along National Road, Alabang, meant to let guests experience what it’s like to have the best of both worlds at an Avida home in the South.

Art: “Disenyo at Talento” series at Tesoros

According to Wikipedia, Art is a diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities, usually involving imaginative or technical skill. In their most general form these activities include the production of works of art, the criticism of art, the study of the history of art, and the aesthetic dissemination of art.

With my 8 years of going back and for to the Philippine high school for the arts in Laguna (the school where my girls went during their high school years), I was able to see different medium turn into arts and my, my , my; there are magnificent. Only  the artists can know their boundaries.  They can make use of material that no normal person can think.  Artists can thing ordinary material into a piece of art that will amaze you.
I was able to view this kind of art when I visited Tesoros located at Pasay road in Makati. Casa San Pablo Clay Storytellers featured during initial salvo. Showcasing aspiring and inspiring craftsmen who reflect the fine Hispano-Asian legacy of the Philippines through various works of art, Tesoro’s, the provider of quality local treasures, has launched the event series “Disenyo at Talento.”

And ALEXA ILACAD IS BUM’S NEWEST ENDORSER

Black color is classic and if you combine it with the right style, it’s unbeatable.  Black can be use in any fashion statement and fashion can be a form of self-expression and a representation of one’s personality, more so for today’s teens who are brimming with youthful enthusiasm and are in the process of discovering themselves. A clothing brand known for catering to the young segment of fashionistas, BUM keeps up with their market’s ever-evolving tastes and preferences not only by launching trendy casual garbs but by also providing them with new role models and style icons they can take cues from.

BUM has always been the brand of choice of both up-and-coming and most sought-after teen celebrities, like ABS-CBN’s Nash Aguas, Ella Cruz and Jane Oineza, and GMA-7’s Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix (who are collectively known as the “Black Army”). But just when you thought this in-demand style squad cannot get any better, BUM has tapped another well-loved young star, who embody the vitality and versatility of the brand.

Last May 28, Goin’ Bulilit alum and Luv U mainstay Alexa Ilacad was launched as BUM’s latest celebrity endorser in a fun-filled event held at the Sequoia Hotel in Quezon City. This 15-year-old fashionista proves to be a perfect fit for the brand because she’s the adventurous type whose style can go from girly-girl to hip and rugged.
“Super happy ako to be a BUM endorser kasi I can show my versatility through BUM. Sobrang astig ng mga damit nila. Kahit lagi akong pa-girly in colorful and bright outfits, favorite ko din ’yung dark colors kasi mahilig ako sa rock eh; minsan nga feeling ko rakista ako eh! With the clothes from BUM, I can enjoy and show the best of both worlds,” Alexa says.

Take good care of your body: Empower yourself

I wanted to enjoy life and that is why I am now at my third shot for my cervical vaccine. I am aware that every woman is at risk. Cervical cancer is a major problem for Filipino women: it is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among Filipinas, with seven dying of the dreaded disease every single day.  What’s more worrying is that two in three Filipinas diagnosed with cervical cancer may die within five years.  Cervical cancer is a risk for women regardless of race, age, lifestyle or socio-economic status. I am not alone with this and everyone is making ways to tell that world that we can do something about it.
Every shot is worth around 2500 and you need 3 shots for this  but this is a small amount compare to the long and agonizing moments we will encounter once we have the dreaded cervical cancer.Cervical cancer occurs when abnormal cells develop and spread in the cervix, the entrance between the vagina and the uterus.  The human papillomavirus (HPV), a very common virus, is the necessary cause of cervical cancer. It has been shown that 99.7 percent of cervical cancer patients are positive for HPV infection.  It is also estimated that up to 80 percent of women will be infected with HPV at some point in their lives. While HPV is primarily transmitted via sexual intercourse, skin-to-skin genital contact is also a recognized mode of transmission. ,   Lifestyle changes can help prevent the development of cervical cancer, such as being conscientious about one’s sexual activities. Beyond regular consultations and pap smears by your OB-GYN, vaccines that protect against cancer-causing HPV are also now readily available. An important reminder, just because you have a cervical vaccine; don’t go around having casual sex.

Did you know that sleeping is a Medicine?

A recent event happened last week and it emphasized the need for a good night sleep. Sleeping seems to be a luxury for us since we are so busy and as if we need to finish everything.  The event talked the fact a full night’s sleep is actually good for our health. A number of studies have shown that sleep affects your wellbeing in different ways. Researchers have found that there is a link between insufficient sleep and serious health problems, such as heart disease, heart attacks, diabetes and obesity. Likewise, lack of sleep lowers your pain threshold, places you at a greater risk for injuries, affects your mood, causes you to be hungrier and eat more, and affects clear thinking. These happen to me and I know for a fact that we need to rest our body and that can be attain if we have a good night sleep.
