Perk-up Your Holidays with Yummy Gardenia Treats!

Ordinary can be extra ordinary with a little imagination and a good product at hand.
This is the time of the year when the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and the everyday gets transformed to something magical.

You see it in homes already dressed up in glittering and bright lights, or in the warm feeling that wafts in the air during family reunions, or perhaps on how we uplift our character and mindset to become better persons.

Indeed, the holiday season is a time to look with fresh eyes on all that surrounds us in our daily lives.

Take the dinner table as an example. While we love to pile it up with all things special for this season like delectable hams or exquisite cheeses, it will not be complete without our bread to brighten up our dining experience and make it even more extraordinary and exciting.

Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako : See them on Dec. 25, 2012

Who is Enteng Kabisote? If you can’t answer that question then maybe I could say that you’re an alien. Someone who lived out of this planet are the only once who don’t know the answer to that question.

For so many years now, Enteng Kabisote has been a part of MMFF.  I may say that if there’s MMFF, then there’s an Enteng Kabisote movie on that list.

A gentlemen’s agreement was what seals it all, that’s what Bossing Vic answered to me. Agimat and Enteng Kabisote teamed up last MMFF 2012 and I was curious why they did it again this year. Not only did the two bankable artist team-up but added another bonus, with the addition of Ms. Judy Ann Santos as AKO
It was a night of fun as Bossing Vic, answered one question after another from bloggers when we were invited to join the  “ Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at si AKO”  Blogger’s Conference held at Annabel’s Timog.

Like Performing, Love Sony Grand Finale

My priorities changes when I become a mother, it’s not about me anymore but all about my children. Since the birth of my eldest, my plans were always about their future. I map out a plan as how they can express their full potentials whether academic or in their extra curricular. I started their formation when they entered they pre-school days at St. Paul Pasig. Every student need to have an extra curricular or gift as they call it in school. My interest was caught by a picture in the bulletin board where a group of student violinist played at Dusit Hotel. That was the start of the so many lessons they attended; violin lesson, ballet lesson, art lesson, piano lesson and attending workshop plus watching shows that has a connection with their art.

Rossetti: The way to one’s heart

I always say that when you served your food to your guest, served it with a style. One of the best ways of presenting your cuisine to your guest is through your food equipment.

This Christmas, all the food and feasting will be especially meaningful as family and friends gather together to celebrate the season—and if food is the way to man’s (and a woman’s, too) heart, then the dining experience will be even more heart-warming when food presentation is made in an appetizing style and an elegant setting.
We make your concern which meal to get first, and not how to keep the food in order.

Serve food in the best way available.
Rossetti offers a wide range of food service products to meet the challenge of giving that heart warming dining experience.

In the midst of the cold breeze of the holiday season, the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at the Open Parking lot of Tutuban center, a popular shopping hub in the country, was held recently.

People flocked the venue and excitedly waited for the lighting ceremonies. Everyone were all smiles as they participated in the countdown before the 35-feet tall Christmas tree was finally lighted. The crowd who attended the event cheered as this event signifies the start of the happiest time of the year.

The traditional lighting of the Christmas tree is part of the celebration of Bonifacio Day to remember the sacrifices and bravery of one of the greatest Filipino heroes, Gat Andres Bonifacio.

Cynthia Villar's SIPAG Inaugural Speech

I have seen her and meet her several times, but this Mrs. Hanepbuhay has so many things still unknown to everyone.  Having the passion to serve just like her husband Senator Manny Villar, Mrs. Cynthia Villar has spearheaded activities that she think will best benefit the residents of Las Pinas City.  On the recent opening of Villar Sipag - the Villar Social Institute of Poverty Alleviation & Governance (SIPAG) along C-5 Extension in Pulang Lupa Uno, she once again proves that poverty is not a hindrance if you just strive to be successful.

Mrs. Cynthia Villar deliver a speech that I think should be known to everyone, so that they too will be inspired as to what this lady had done.

Las Piñas City Celebrates 7th Parol Festival

Parol has been a symbol of Christmas season. A paról is an ornamental, star-shaped  Christmas lantern. It is traditionally made out of bamboo and paper and comes in various sizes and shapes, but generally the basic star pattern remains dominant.

The design of the paról evokes the star of Bethlehem that guided the  Three Kings to the manger. Whether, a parol that hangs on our houses are simple or grand, it signifies our hope and good will during the Christmas season.

The city of Las Pinas understand this tradition and  once again proved that it is ‘the lantern capital of Metro Manila’ as residents of its barangays showed their ingenuity in creating the best Christmas parols (lanterns) using recycled and indigenous materials at the 7th Parol Festival’s lantern-making competition.

Parol Festival has become a popular event in Metero Manila and in other parts of the country as well. Ms. Cynthia Villar, Managing Director of the Villar Foundation has helped boost this three-generation parol making industry in the city of Las Pinas for its yearly festival.

The gift of health—a “must” gift idea for Christmas

Christmas time is gift giving time. I suggested that we put a lot of thought with regards to what to give. Let it be practical and lasting, for the one we are giving the gift area our love ones.

Instead of choosing the latest electronic gadget, clothes, or even a car, why not choose to give the gift of health to a family member or any loved one this Christmas?

Giving the gift of health can be in any form, like membership in a fitness center, new exercise shoes or perhaps a complete set of health supplements. But why bother with those when you can give a health juicer and all you need are either vegetables or fruits, and a little creativity and know-how in combining them to make great-tasting—and healthy—juices?

Scent of a woman: Finding the right fragrance for her

It’s Christmas time, and a lot of you are looking at gifts for your gals over in the fragrance section. If you’re like most men, though, you may find it a bit overwhelming, if not downright confusing. But fear not fragrance shoppers. If you’re reading this, you’re already on the right scent. What’s a base note? What’s the difference between musky and woody? Which of the designer names do women really like? And since when does channel number 5 make perfume? Boy, oh boy, oh boys, here we go again.

Fragrances make for fantastic Christmas gifts IF you know what you’re looking for. And, luckily for you, I’m going to tell you what that should be. First, determine your girl’s personality. From there, you can get a good idea of what kind of scents she’ll like. Second, select a specific fragrance. You can do this based on your own personal knowledge of what she likes. Or you can do this based on your budget constraints because, yes, you do have options. You may now exhale in relief.  Last, of course, you have to buy the fragrance, which means you have to know where to find it. Fortunately, I know a place that’s got it all for you- SM Department Store’s Beauty Section.

Globe Business M2M technology makes business better

For those entrepreneurs like myself, here’s an information that I think would help us in managing our business.

Running a small or medium-sized business can be challenging: besides the problems faced at the workplace and daily operations, entrepreneurs must also take care of their office premises, vehicles, machinery and other fixed assets. The question, for many SMBs, is how to find solutions that are effective yet also affordable.
Globe Business M2M-Fleet Management Service allows business owners to track the location of company vehicles while these are on the move. This lets them know if a company vehicle arrived at its destination on-time. They can also assess the best travel route a company vehicle can take or find an alternative route in cases of heavy traffic or obstructions.

Bellator champs: Wrestling is key for Filipino MMA supremacy

When asked what Filipino mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters can improve on to make it into the “big leagues” in the United States, champions from Bellator Fighting Championships (Bellator) pointed to one discipline: wrestling.

“At the end of the day it’s the wrestlers that you see in MMA who are doing best,” said Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler in an interview. “That’s a really good base to have.”

This view is echoed by fellow fighter and Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren who gave reasons why having an amateur wrestling background is a big deal.
