New advocacy campaign rallies nation to make a difference in power
conservation
It was during the 90’s when we suffer the nationwide
brown out. Those were the days when many
of the business establishment suffers a great loss due to nonperformance.
Imagine the 12 hour of rotation brown out that we suffer during office hours
when only minimal computer and lights are switch on because we are just
supported by generators. It was indeed a dark hour for us, and now we are being
inform that we are once again might suffer this fate once more. Philips recently had an event that challenged
us and told us that we can do something about it. With the tagline “May
Magagawa Ka”
We don’t need to make drastic moves, big thing comes
to small beginning and it will go a long way Don’t let your children experience the same
thing that happen to us in the 90’s, let us be part of the solution and not
blame the problem to others. I did my part by just changing my bulb with led
lights and turning off and appliances that just in standby modes. These are
just some of the ways that I have learned during my event with regards to how
to save electricity consumption.

“A power outage can be catastrophic for the economy,” said Fabia Tetteroo-Bueno, Country Manager of Philips Philippines, during the campaign launch on Wednesday. “We lose the comfort our homes and the stability of livelihood and business.
“It will impact all sectors—consequently, it will take the unified efforts of all these sectors to prevent it from happening in the future.”
