There are only a number of things that we could call a ‘classic’- certain songs, certain films, certain books, certain jokes, and Converse.
Since the first time that I have laid my eyes on that peculiar-looking ‘ALL STAR’ logo peeking out from the hem of someone’s jeans (which must have been much later after it was first released into the market as I didn’t especially like keeping up with the trends), I eventually found myself spotting it every now and then as the trademark name has already come a long way from simply being a shoe you find in your closet to THE shoe you find in your closet when you want to go out and have some fun. Oh boy, and some fun did I have when I attended the Converse Block Party at the SM Mall of Asia—an entire day of street games, basketball-skateboard-and-dance competitions, musical performances, and lots of chances to win awesome prizes!
There are so many things to enjoy that day. Lots of fun, games and excitement with Converse!

There are line up of events for the young and the young at heart like Open Skate, Skate Clinic, Skateboard Demo, Skateboard Competitions, Spin Slam, Exhibition Games,Hoops and Shoot, Streetball, Beatbox, Breakdancing, Krumping, Band Performances
There are several college basketball teams competing that superb day from Arellano University, Mapua Institute of Technology, Emilio Aguinaldo College, De La Salle University, San Sebastian College Recoletos, University of the East
Celebrity Players like Ram Sagad, Rix Tai, Dannieboi, Jose Sarasola, Gerard Acao, Carlos Agassi graced the event
Performers from the Beatbox Philippines, Philippine All Stars, Krumpinoy, Freestyle Philippines, Q-York was also present
Band Performances from Gloc 9 with Pointblanc, Callalily are the highlights of the party.
After the party, guess where I proceed, yes you're right, I bought a new pair of converse shoes for my daughter.
