Julie’s Bakeshop and WFP Team Up to Fight Hunger in the Philippines

The United Nation World Food Programme and the Philippines largest bakery chain, Julie’s Bakeshop have entered into an innovative partnership to fight hunger in the Phil.




Julie’s Bakeshop launches the New Bayan Bread Product to generate proceeds for WFP’s school feeding programme. Julie’s Bayan Sliced Bread cost P40 and Julie’s Bakeshop and its franchisee will donate P2 to WFP for every loaf of Julie’s Bayan Sliced Bread.


Proceed which will be remitted quarterly to the WFP to exclusively benefit school children in conflict affected areas of Central Mindanao though WFP’s Emergency School Feeding (ESF) programme.
