It was a night of art and gastronomical evolution as Megaworld Lifestyle Malls in partnership with
the Asian Food Channel launches Gourmet Masterpieces held at the Newport Mall
at Resorts World Manila. It was night of delicious art-inspired creations that is yet
another wonderful way for shoppers to enjoy the Bright Side of Life.
At an elegant event in Newport Mall at Resorts World Manila
done in partnership with Mega Magazine and Appetite, guests were treated not
only to the fusion of the visual and culinary arts but that of the art of
fashion as well as models strutted down the runway in a stylicious fashion
show. The models truly embodied eye-candy in avant-garde outfits as delectable
as the Gourmet Masterpieces they were inspired by.
Gourmet Masterpieces is Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ most
exciting and unique dining campaign yet. Renowned chefs from dining
establishments all over Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and Resorts World Manila were
invited to conceptualize limited edition summer dishes based on their favorite
art pieces. The result was a gallery of delectable plates, which guests were
able to try at the launch.
“Megaworld Lifestyle Malls is known for its chef-driven
restaurants; they are a big part of what makes the dining scene here so
dynamic. This summer, we wanted to harness the creativity of the chefs through
this innovative art-meets-food campaign. What they came up with is truly
inspired and truly delicious and so we are inviting families to try these
unique dishes, available only here this summer at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls,”
said Kevin L. Tan, First Vice President and Commercial Division Head of
Megaworld Corporation.
Among the delicious dishes guests were able to enjoy were
the Impression Foie Gras of Cyrille Soenen from Impressions, the Dragon Sushi
Roll of Antonio Ablay from Ginzadon, Greek Nachos of Robby Goco from Cyma,
Country Fried Chicken Steak of Pete
Ayson from New Orleans
and Organic Greens with Wagyu from Melo’s Steakhouse.
L’entrecote Chef Martin Kaspar’s Salmon Soleil is inspired by Village Tune from Carlos Rocha. The salmon is marinated for 36 hours and then drizzled only on the skin side until half cooked. Served with avocado drizzled with lemon olive oil, it was complimented by Baked Lemon - Basil Aioli and Lumpfish Caviar salad. Other yummy seafood dishes were also on the table like Nel Badere of Red Crab’s Gambas ala Remedios and the Deep Fried Lapu Lapu Xi Yan Style of David Wai Fung from Passions.
