DepEd and Nestle Philippines Launch Champ Moves Campaign

Sabin g Lola ko, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I think your lola and Lolo’s also say these words to you. Sabi din nya, mag exercise tuwing umaga para ikaw ay sumigla, just like the lyrics of the song of Yoyong (I hope you heard it also especially during the morning exercise routine at our school)

Nutrition and exercise has to work hand in hand for us to us to be able to have an active and healthy lifestyle. Students are now focusing in gadgets and it high time that they enjoy some physical activities.


Nestle Philippines, in collaboration with DepEd has launch Milo Champ Movers, a nationwide school based program that aims to encourage six million elementary students in 10,000 schools to live an active and healthy lifestyle.





Champ Moves is not only for the children but for the teachers as well. Teachers will be equip with nutrition modules that highlight, among others the importance of a healthy breakfast to help fuel schools children’s performance in school
Nestle Philippines and CEO Suresh Narayan said the MILO Champ Moves program seeks to excite, engage and inspire both the youth and educators through sports and proper nutrition. Through Milo advocacy, they shall be able to continue to make a difference in the lives of the Filipino School children who are the country’s hope for the future



DepEd officials who are excited about their partnership with Nestle believe that children should engage in regular physical exercise so that they can stay fit and healthy. Together with Milo, the students will be having a better chance to practice a more active and healthier lifestyle.

Through the program, they aim to reach out to more schools and students, enabling them to start livening an active and healthy lifestyle whether on or off the court. By adding an element of fun through these sports themed dance step

The Champ Moves program is under the One child, one Sport campaign ( OCOS) which was launched by Milo last year in collaboration with DepEd to encourage school children to engage in physical activities.
