I was lucky to be part of the media who toured last two weeks ago at the Marriot Grand Ballroom but to be one of the guests for the ribbon cutting is
an honor.
And I was present once again for the Marriot Grand Ballroom
for the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
which signifies the official opening of Marriot Grand Ballroom to the
public.
The Marriott Grand Ballroom officially opens with a
ribbon cutting ceremony held last July 1, 2015 officiated by Karl Hudson –
Marriott Hotels Area Vice President for Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines &
Japan, Mr. Bruce Winton – General Manager, Marriott Manila, Mr. Craig Smith
–Marriott Hotels President and Managing Director Asia Pacific, Mr. Kevin Tan –
Executive Director Alliance Global Group, Inc, Mr. Kingson Sian – President,
Travellers International Hotel Group, Hon. Mayor Antonino Calixto – Pasay City
Mayor, and Mr. Stephen Reilly – Resorts World Manila Chief Operating Officer.,
followed by the traditional dragon and lion dance complete with an elaborate
firecracker display. The Marriott Grand Ballroom is an 8,000 sqm meetings
facility that houses the Philippines’ largest hotel ballroom with 3,000 sqm of
function space that can accommodate up to 4,000 guests. It features world class
state of the art technology, including the only ballroom that uses SkyFold
Technology - vertical folding partitions that comes from the ceiling, and 176
Programmable Pillow Ceiling Lights.
Aside from the ballroom there are 28 versatile multifunction spaces
including 6 VIP boxes, 2 ballrooms and 3 dining outlets.
