Last October 10-11, TMC brought its world-class
preventive health care practice to TriNoma Mall in Quezon City with an event
entitled, the ”Be Healthy Always Movement: Get Checked!” In the two-day event, the public were given
access to free full medical consultations with TMC doctors in the following areas:
cardiology, ophthalmology, women’s health and pediatric health. TMC’s experts stressed that the ideal
prevention approach not only includes healthy lifestyle choices, but also
promotes the early and proactive detection, diagnosis and appropriate management
of conditions and illnesses, throughout one’s entire lifecycle. Discussions
with the public also covered topics such as the best defense against heart
diseases, aging well, customized care for diabetics, and the basic to-do's for
expecting mothers.
In line with its commitment to advancing health care in
the country through its world class service and network of specialized experts,
The Medical City (TMC) launched Be Healthy Always, a movement that advocates
the power of prevention and encourages Filipinos to take charge of their health
and wellbeing by ensuring regular check-ups.
For decades, Filipinos have been plagued by the burden and death within
families caused by chronic and congenital conditions. The majority of these
cases, however, could have been avoided or managed more effectively if
preventive measures had been taken.
When was the last time you visited your doctor for a
check-up?
Most of us might have a hard time remembering because it
has probably been months—or worse, years—since we last had a medical
check-up. Here in the Philippines,
rarely do individuals voluntarily go to their doctors on a regular basis, brushing
it off as an unnecessary expense and not realizing the crucial role of
preventive healthcare in prolonging lives and actually avoiding daunting
medical bills.
Joining TMC in this movement are their partners in
pushing for a healthier Philippines namely Zenith Medical Equipment, Inc.,
Unilab Consumer Health, Rebmann, Inc., Marben Commercial, Biocare Medical
System, Aimed Advance Imaging Solutions, Scientific Biotech Specialties, Inc.,
Slimmers World, Watson’s, and Johnson & Johnson Phils., Inc.
Clinics located at points of convenience
TMC has steadily been growing to be the country’s largest
healthcare network with one flagship healthcare complex, four provincial
hospitals and 36 clinic sites in 32 locations in Metro Manila and in select
provinces in the Philippines.
The main health care complex is located along Ortigas
Avenue while the provincial hospitals are strategically located in Clark,
Iloilo, South Luzon and Pangasinan.
TMC has taken its brand into the global arena through the
ownership and operation of the Guam Regional Medical City, the first and only private
hospital in Guam and the establishment of ambulatory clinics in the Gulf
Cooperation Council countries through the opening of the Dubai clinic.
TMC clinics are bringing world class health care service
to Filipino neighborhoods with the benefit of keeping all medical information
in one reliable network – a service first in the Nation’s history.
