Hi commuter friends.
Last week as I was passing by La Salle, there were a
bunch of students who are asking for directions going to Aliw Theater. Some pedicabs offered to take them there by
paying 50 pesos each and to think that Aliw Theater is just near. I cannot
control myself that I have to talk to them and told them where to ride and they
could save a lot of money. Just imagine how pissed off the tricycle driver but
if only he had collected the right fare then I would not intervene.
And because of that incident, I realized that there are
still a lot of people who don’t know how to commute going to Aliw Theater.
Aliw Theater is strategically located beside the Cultural
Center of the Philippines and adjacent to the Manila Broadcasting Company and
Star City .Aliw Theater sits on a total area of 3,614 square meters.
It is easily reached by car and public transportation via
Edsa, Diosdado Macapagal Avenue, Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, and Roxas Boulevard
Now, here are the following options that you can choose
from if you are using public t transportation.
Option 1: via LRT
You can ride an LRT from Monumento or Baclaran station and
get off at Vito Cruz Station. You need to walk going to Rizal Memorial Sports
Center where a jeep terminal is located. Rizal is located at the right. There is
a Starbucks at the corner of Vito Cruz. The jeeps are in color orange and would
pass Aliw Theater
Fare: 7.00 pesos
Option 2: via PUV
You can ride a jeep going to Baclaran; it can have a
Mabini or Taft sign since both will pass by Vito Cruz.
For those using the Mabini lane, you can get off at Banko
Central ng Pilipinas in front of Harrizon Plaza, from there, you can just walk
going to Roxas Blvd.
From those using the Taft Lane, you need to get off at
Vito Cruz and ride the jeep in front of Rizal Memorial Sports Center
Option 3: via Fx
If you are coming from Baclaran or Fairview, an Fx will
be a good option since it will pass through Roxas Blvd and you can get off in
front of CCP and need to walk a little bit and Aliw Theater is right in front
of you.
There are a lot of options besides riding a Taxi and you
can save a lot on transportation expenses.
Hope this help you going around the Metro
