PlayTime gears up the Year of the Wooden Snake with adventure, festivities and sports advocacy
PlayTime, the top contender in
the online entertainment games industry in the Philippines, kicked off the
Lunar New Year and festival season with exciting celebrations and sports
advocacy, bringing the spirit of play and community to life through immersive
experiences and remarkable partnership.
A Festive Food Crawl in
Binondo
To welcome the Year of the Wooden
Snake, the PlayTimeKada, alongside PlayTime Babe Kat Llegado, explored the
heart of Manila’s Chinatown—Binondo—through a flavorful food crawl. Binondo,
the world’s oldest Chinatown, became the perfect setting for PlayTime’s Chinese
New Year celebration, where the team indulged in authentic flavors like the
traditional fortune cookie, special hopia ube and savory dumplings.
They also engaged with the lively
festivities and shared the real-time experience with PlayTime followers via
livestream. The event captured the essence of prosperity, luck, and togetherness
that the Lunar New Year brings.
On-Ground Fun at Sinulog and
Dinagyang Festival
Beyond celebrating in Manila,
PlayTime took part in two of the country’s biggest festivals—Sinulog in Cebu
and Dinagyang in Iloilo—through exciting on-ground activations. During the
week-long Sinulog festival, PlayTime, in partnership with Win Radio, hosted the
DJ’s Fun Day, wherein the enthusiastic attendees got to experience the energy
of PlayTime firsthand with interactive activities, games, and prizes, making
the celebration even more thrilling.
Adding to the excitement, the
PlayTimeKadas of Cebu and PlayTime Binibini Sam Acosta went live on social
media as they toured around the greatest landmarks in Cebu, sharing historical
knowledge and bringing festivities closer to the PlayTime community nationwide.
Festival-goers of the three-day
Dinagyang Festival, on the other hand, equally experienced the fun and
entertainment during the DJ’s Fun Day event hosted by PlayTime Babe Ivayne
Omelig together with the PlayTimeKadas of Iloilo. To complete the experience,
they went live on social media as they also took a tour of the city’s famed
restaurants and flavors.
Forging Ties with National
Basketball Training Center
In a ceremonial handshake by
PlayTime’s Senior PR Manager, Mr. Jay Sabale and National Basketball Training
Center (NBTC) National Program Director, Mr. Eric Altamirano on February 3,
2025, PlayTime CARES formalized its pledge to support NBTC in various areas -
training, development camps, and athlete growth programs. This partnership aims
to create more opportunities for youth to excel in basketball.
Through this initiative, PlayTime
CARES helps in laying the foundation for future basketball stars, empowering
them with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed in this sport and
beyond. This collaboration vows to be a transformative force in both the development
of young athletes and the future of Philippine basketball.
“Exploring Binondo’s bustling streets, enjoying vibrant festival grounds
of Cebu and Iloilo, and embarking a notable partnership with NBTC, PlayTime
continues to create meaningful and engaging experiences that bring people
together. We remain committed to making every moment more exciting for players
and festival-goers alike. Please stay tuned as we continue to be present in
more festivals as well as promote goodwill that we believe are important to
Filipinos.” Sabale shares.
