In the midst of the cold breeze of the holiday season, the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at the Open Parking lot of Tutuban center, a popular shopping hub in the country, was held recently.
People flocked the venue and excitedly waited for the lighting ceremonies. Everyone were all smiles as they participated in the countdown before the 35-feet tall Christmas tree was finally lighted. The crowd who attended the event cheered as this event signifies the start of the happiest time of the year.
The traditional lighting of the Christmas tree is part of the celebration of Bonifacio Day to remember the sacrifices and bravery of one of the greatest Filipino heroes, Gat Andres Bonifacio.
