Travel via Sea: The Other Way 2 Go Traveling

I told myself that this is the year that I will surely turn a new leaf in my life; that is to travel.  I want to try the different ways to travel. I had a chance to get my first travel to Cebu/Bohol via air and now I had my other way to go; that is via sea, more specifically via 2GO travel.

I always say that the start of the adventure is when you choose which transportation would you use; and my choice is 2GO travel. It all started when I was booked on line for my second longest trip bound to Iloilo-Bacolod. There’s this HUB that they called located in Luneta where passengers like me can wait for the bus that would take me to the port where the ships of 2GO travel are docks.

I was so happy with regards to HUB because not only you got to get a glimpse of one of the finest and memorable park in the Philippines, the HUB actually blends with its surrounding with its pink color and chic design.

I am a purchaser by profession and you do understand that we tend to canvass first before making a decision. I do send my shipment via sea, because it’s a lot cheaper that send the package via air. Although I was always thinking of the cost, I had to think also about the reliability of the vessel. I had to secure my package; that it would be able to reach its destination without any problem. Now, if I value the package that I’m sending what more if it’s I who’s being ship out.  As I board the St. Michael, the Archangel Ship; I was surprise to that the lobby was so elegant just like those that you will find in hotels. With the magenta color as its motif, the design is chic and you will not think that you were inside a ship vessel.

Since I avail of a 3 day cruising from Manila-Iloilo-Bacolod-Manila, I just want to make sure that I get the most comfortable stay during the sailing. There were choices with regards to the accommodation; tourist, cabin, VIP, stateroom.

The vessel also serves as a training ground for the aspiring seafarer students, they even have a charging area and foods stall on the go

I was able to get my hair cut during the voyage in preparation for a party that night just imagine having a salon inside the vessel

I decided to leave the party earlier than expected, I ‘m not really a party goer but it’s nice to know that there are other ways you could do while inside the vessel.

I actually slept peacefully even though it’s my first time to spend my night inside a vessel. I was thinking about what will happen the next time when we dock at Iloilo.

It was a windy morning but I wanted to get a glimpse of sea before we dock

After traveling for 20 hours, I finally saw the beautiful island of Iloilo and couldn’t wait to set foot on the shore.
