It was nice to see Chef Bruce Lim once again. The first time I met Chef Bruce was on a cook off contest that I joined last year. Luckily I was able to reach the finals (3rd placer). We have met several times after that in event that has something to do with cooking.
Bad weather ws not a hindrance, SM Sucat Hypermart tol push thru with its SM Master Chefs Cooking Marathon. Sponsored by Lee Kum Kee, Chef Bruce didn’t disappoint the student from a nearby university and shopper of SM Sucat Hypermart with his mouth watering dishes.
Still as bubbly as the first day I met him, his conversant nature captures the audience. He manages to give tips here and there while he was busy preparing and cooking. He was down to earth and everyone enjoy his company as gladly answers the entire question. Actually, I don’t need to ask questions, he explain every detail. He gives options for those ingredients that were used. He was sensitive to our feeling of wanting to learn. He recognizes the values of our hard earn money, that he made recipe that he knows could be affordable and appreciated by the whole family.
Chef Bruce Lim is a Filipino –Chinese who love to cook. His comfort foods are always Filipino dishes. His first passion for cooking came from his grandmother. The first dish that he prepared was adobo when he was just seven years old. His experience in food preparation can’t be question for he has numerous degrees and awards to back him up. His TV shows are truly enjoyable to watch.
SM Hypermart shows it’s appreciation to its loyal customer by giving cooking demos by top caliber chef. Co-sponsored by Lee Kum Kee, we were treated by learning new techniques and knowledge with regards to cooking. The experience will give us the competence to experiment a new dishes. I know for a fact that these lessons are expensive if we were to enroll in culinary art school and yet SM Hypermart has given us a chance to learn and it’s free. No purchase was required from us to enjoy the company of Chef Bruce. Truly, SM Hypermart is grateful to its customer. I for one was pleased about the cooking demos.
