As history unfold itself to me in connection with
the celebration of the Fiesta Republika 2015 in Malolos, I witness a different
kind of performance that is colorful and creative and showcase the talents of
residence of Malolos; the Dulangsangan
Dulangsangan is a national street dance-drama
competition showcasing the different historical events in pursuit of national freedom
and sovereignty. Competing in three levels--- LOCAL, PROVINCIAL and NATIONAL
You will be amaze by the talents and dedication of
the performers since the event begins at 9AM on January 23 after the
commemorative rites starting off at the Basilica Minore and commencing at the
Malolos Sports and Convention Center, City of Malolos.
With the theme: Republikang Filipino 1899: Bukal ng
Kadakilaan, Daluyan ng Kaunlaran, the contestant display an unusual street
dance or pageantry, it is a parade of historical vignettes being staged in the
streets depicting the distinctive historical event in their respective
locality.
Here are the Basic Facts about the Competition
COMPETITION GUIDELINES:
All contingents must represent their respective City
or Provincial Government
Each delegation must have 75-100 dancing contingents
with no age limit
PLATFORMS and BACKGROUND SET are not allowed in the
PERFORMANCE SHOWDOWN.
All contestants will be judged for the street
dance-drama and performance showdown with corresponding Percentage on Judging:
STREET DANCE (30%) & SHOWDOWN (70%)
Failure to comply with all the requirements may
result to disqualification
Decision of the judges is final and un-appealable
STREET DANCE-DRAMA
Starting point at Basilica Minore up to Malolos
Sports & Convention Center.
The street dance-drama must move continuously along
the street repeatedly with the music depicting the reenactment of the founding
of the First Philippine Republic using the theme music “Viva Republica”. Music
will be provided by the Secretariat
PERFORMANCE SHOWDOWN
a. Must perform the tableaux on their local history.
Performance Time Limit of Twelve (12) including set-up and dismantle time
b. Original or Non-original music (Canned or live)
can be used for Performance Showdown
c. Harmful elements like real knives, guns and
pyrotechnics or any object that can endanger human lives are not allowed in the
performance.

Choreography 30%
Production Design 30%
