Hundreds of children trooped last April 11 at the
PICC forum to get a chance to be one of the finalists for JR NBA/WNBA
Philippines 2015. Together with their
loving parents, sibling and even grandparents, each one showing their skills
and sportsmanship to be able to be chosen.
Jr NBA/WNBA is the league’s international youth
development program that promotes basketball participation, sportsmanship and
teamwork and active lifestyle among children and Alaska truly supports this endeavor. ALASKA and NBA Philippines worked hand in hand to improve
and expand the program and bringing it to more cities and communities each an
making it a more inclusive and unique experience for Filipinos everywhere and
Manila is their last stop for this year.
With every drill and every shoot, you will see the
passion in every child’s eye and for this every moment a parent is there to
support their child and document every move they made.
As moms who have five kids, I know the feeling of
being able to see your children do what they love and we parent are part of that
preparation.
