Big fashion fete marks ELLE’s 70th anniversary

Iconic global fashion brand launches a limited edition collection to represent each decade it has spent at the forefront of the fashion world
























“We are marking ELLE’s 70th anniversary here in the country with a big fashion hurrah that showcases the best of Parisian fashion. All the pieces featured exhibit the sophisticated and elegant take of ELLE on fashion and we are also eager to launch new collections to celebrate the bright future of the brand,” says International Globale Marques Chief Operating Officer Maye Yao Co Say, who brought the brand here in the Philippines.

ELLE Magazine has been appealing to women since 1945, when Pierre Lazareff and his wife Hélène Gordon founded the publication. The international roll-out of ELLE began in the United States in 1985. Today, the magazine reaches women with 46 international editions globally.

At the center of the fashion fete is the fashion show “7 Decades, 7 Dresses”, which unveils ELLE’s 7 new frocks that mark each of the brand’s 7 decades. From the feminine dresses that celebrated women’s power after liberation from war in the 1940s, to the current decade’s global, ultra modern look, “7 Decades, 7 Dresses” tells the story of ELLE and of women’s fashion through 7 unique dresses for both women and the mini dresses for young ladies.

ELLE France Fashion Editor and ELLE Boutiques Artistic Advisor Tamara Taichman says of the collection, “The Parisian lifestyle has to be worn in a relaxed way and spirit – modern and timeless.”

The event also sees the launch of the ELLE luggage FW15 collection and also a sneak preview of what to watch-out for from the ELLE ladies bag coming next year for every globetrotting fashionista as well as the latest looks from the ELLE Kids line. In true Parisian flair, the new ELLE Kids line is a melange of chic and cool takes on girls’ and boys’ wear with both casual and formal pieces that can take them from a day at the mall or park or to dressy parties through the ELLE Kids Party Collection.

The anniversary also serves as fitting avenue for the reveal of the new ELLE Kids Fall-Winter 2015 line, which provides even more choices for the young fashionista who’s starting to form her own distinct style identity. This Fall-Winter collection bridges the youthful looks of ELLE Kids with the tailored tastes of ELLE.
