I was ask if I want to join a father-daughter treat by Jollibee; I actually wasn’t able to answer right away. I love my father but we are not perfect and we recently had a tampuhan. I know my tatay loves me that’s why I tried to call him and texted him when he didn’t answer his phone. I know that the #BestDateEver would be the answer to finish this tampuhan thing and I was right. The event was held last Oct. 16, 2014. The dinner time was to happen at around 5:30 and actually losing hope to have my date with my dad because there was no text or call from him. I got the surprise of my life when at around 2 pm, my tatay shows up and with tampo voice ask: “ where are we going?”. I immiaditely answer: “ Mag dadate.”. It’s Breast Cancer Month and a lot of events are happening right now. Learn new ways and information would be a great help to us woman. We are not alone in this fight, there are companies who are willing to help. According to reports from the Philippine Society of Medical Oncology, the Philippines has the highest incidence of breast cancer in Asia. And in line with the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, the Department of Health encourages Filipina women to educate themselves on the disease. “Key to winning the country’s battle against breast cancer is early detection, which can be achieved through routine self-examination and undergoing breast screening in the clinic,” explains Dr. Nicky Montoya, president and CEO of MediCard, a leading Philippine HMO.

For the third consecutive year, Ford Philippines and Avon Philippines joined forces in the fight against breast cancer. We are not young and strong as we use to be and it’s because no matter we deny it, we are on our 40’s.
