In time for the Earth Day, Electrolux invites mommies like me for a day of learning. In line with their campaign #domorewithless; we learn about practical and resourceful tips especially when it comes to managing our homes. From transforming last night’s leftover dishes into a delicious, mouthwatering meal to upcycling an old unwearable dress into a pretty apron. These and other thing that moms truly know by heart and stuff like how to wisely maximize the resources at home were discourse during the event. Electrolux, a global leader in home appliances, launched its Do More With Less campaign in Abenson Global City to empower moms to be more creative and resourceful at home.

“ By the time of the Great Depression, the T-shirt was often the default garment to be worn when doing farm or ranch chores,”  I’d like to share a simple story. Honestly, I don’t like this shirt, but things happen naturally as I go through with my life. Oftentimes I find myself randomly picking this shirt when I’m in a rush. Out of the comfort it brings I came to notice its significance. With a touch of white blended with pink makes it even simpler knowing that much of history can be found in this apparel we call T-shirt. So many ways it served us yet failing to see the importance of it. As I flip through the photo albums, the photos retell the occasions but seeing the shirt reminded me of the feeling at that very moment. A momentous occasion, that as a mother, I search for essentials over preferences. I’m a mother of five precious kids. When you are a mom, there is certain thing that we have to do whether we like or not. Part of that are the household chores.  One of the top priorities is cleaning the house. Having five girls in the house is no big deal, but having long hair does. It would be easier if you’re just cleaning the house because of dust and dirt. Having a broom  may answer my problem. Broom is the basic tool that I always use when cleaning, but then there are certain problems that comes with it. Its disadvantage is a list that are so many to mention, but then what can I do? Financial status is one of the reason I could say why I have to stick to using the broom. But then again, do I have to suffer so much just for this reason. Does cost outweigh the misery that I go through because of the broom?
