Corporate Social Responsibility is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large (The World Business Council for Sustainable Development in its publication “Making Good Business Sense” by Lord Holme and Richard Watts) As a management graduate I can still remember the elements of CSR; towards Employees, towards Consumers, End Users and Public, towards Competitors, towards Suppliers, Contractors and Government, towards Environment. And this project- towards Consumers, End Users and Public. The primary goal of all business is to earn profits through the patronage of their target market or the consumers. Business owners owe the public a lot that’s why in return they tend to pay it back.
