Today, with the wave of exciting technological innovations and new apps, people are becoming more preoccupied with their gadgets. Whether it means replying to important work emails, keeping attuned to the latest updates on social media, or fighting off and catching virtual monsters, this new normal of being glued to our screens has kept us from experiencing important and joyous face-to-face moments with family members and loved ones. Its summer and I remember times when we used to go out of town in a snap just because there is nothing much to do and just spend crazy time with the kids. There are actually no plans when eve we go out, just “okey, let’s go out” theme. The only problem then was food, since it’s a just spur at a moment but there’s always the ever reliable drive thru. For the kids, there’s always the Jollibee (well, for the whole family actually) Before and today is no different since Jollibee is still part of family’s get together and the good news is ,to celebrate these many fun memories and bonding activities this time of the year , colorful summer-themed decals showing families enjoying the outdoors and having a great time now adorn  Jollibee stores across the country. Indeed, there’s no place quite like Jollibee that can turn these summer moments even more memorable and fun with favorite langhap-sarap treats like the Chickenjoy, Yumburgers, and Jolly Spaghetti.

I was ask if I want to join a father-daughter treat by Jollibee; I actually wasn’t able to answer right away. I love my father but we are not perfect and we recently had a tampuhan. I know my tatay loves me that’s why I tried to call him and texted him when he didn’t answer his phone. I know that the #BestDateEver would be the answer to finish this tampuhan thing and I was right. The event was held last Oct. 16, 2014. The dinner time was to happen at around 5:30 and actually losing hope to have my date with my dad because there was no text or call from him. I got the surprise of my life when at around 2 pm, my tatay shows up and with tampo voice ask: “ where are we going?”. I immiaditely answer: “ Mag dadate.”. From there I knew that the tampo thing is over. We have a special bond and this bond will last forever.  Me with my Tatay Peping

It’s hot day, but this doesn’t stop thousands of families in converging in Quirino Grandstand to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon during the Jollibee’s Family Bee Day, the grandest picnic ever in Manila.   The event was highlighted by performances from topnotch celebrity guests, live bands, side attractions and overflowing Jollibee treats.

I have always been fascinated with Mt. Pinatubo .
