Take a free tour at the most modern bread factory in the country : The Gardenia Plant

Image
I had the most fascinating date last Sunday when together with other moms and kids got to take a look at the most modern bread factory in the country: The Gardenia Plant. Who knew that one of the country’s leading educational tours takes place in a…bakery (albeit on a massive scale). With more than 2.5 million visitors in the last 10 years, majority of whom are students from 15,000 different schools, this obviously isn’t your run-of-the-mill neighborhood panaderia.

Perk-up Your Holidays with Yummy Gardenia Treats!

Ordinary can be extra ordinary with a little imagination and a good product at hand. This is the time of the year when the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and the everyday gets transformed to something magical. You see it in homes already dressed up in glittering and bright lights, or in the warm feeling that wafts in the air during family reunions, or perhaps on how we uplift our character and mindset to become better persons. Indeed, the holiday season is a time to look with fresh eyes on all that surrounds us in our daily lives. Take the dinner table as an example. While we love to pile it up with all things special for this season like delectable hams or exquisite cheeses, it will not be complete without our bread to brighten up our dining experience and make it even more extraordinary and exciting.

Delightful goodness in my Gardenia pandesal

Image
EJ started going back to school last Tuesday and it means, I need to prepare the breakfast and the baon every morning. I do want him to heavy breakfast  but not heavy that he would feel sleepy at class. Waking up with the wafting aroma of pandesal will surely bring him  back from sleepiness. His favorite palaman is condensed milk which my father taught him and grew fond of, if there’s no condensed milk; a evaporated milk with sugar will do.   But wait, I can switch the palaman but not the pandesal, Gardenia is the only pandesal that he would take in the morning.  Gardenia has made its own version of pandesal using world-class standards to ensure utmost quality in both taste and appearance.

Happy Bread Day at Gardenia Plant

Image
Bread has always been a symbol of unity, generosity and nourishment, and it is through bread that a company like Gardenia expresses its continued responsibility to help build a stronger nation through health and nutrition. As Gardenia, celebrate its Happy Bread Day last Oct 17, 2011, media and bloggers witness the unveiling of the “ G-Lock Collage”. A unique and creative idea conceptualized by Gardenia that aims to expand its already-substantial Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR) effort, this time directly involving customers like me and even those who visit the plant. Host: Ms. Sam with Gardee The unveiling of G-Lock Collage  The G-Lock Collage will form a collage composed of Gardenia's unique G-Lock bread tags. The collage will be equivalent to more than 3,000 G-Lock tags, where each G-lock is equal to one bread loaf which will be given to the chosen charities by Gardenia.
