Espada Fencing Tournament

Two important event happened last Jan 31, 2012. First, EJ celebrated his 12 th birthday. Second, EJ was one of the chosen few who joined the group ages 9-12 of Ateneo Fencing Group to join the Espada Tournament held at Ultra Fencing Hall. My heart was overflowing with happiness when I found out about the information that was relay to me by a co-parent as to how our son was included. EJ didn’t mention anything about it and I thought that all the members were there to compete just like what happened to last year competition. EJ had improved a lot since he joined the group last year. From having scores of 0-2, he now achieves to win over his opponents. Managing again to make it to the second round with 2 win, 2 losses; he’s now serious with his chosen game. I have made him gone through classes like violin, piano, cielo music lesson. I even enrolled him in Karate do, but it seems; he now found his place. As a mother who’s been in his side for 12 years, I’m so pleased and delighted to say ...

Love Me Exhibit

My son is a grade 5 student in Ateneo De Manila University Grade School and last Dec. 1 I received a letter from them. The letter was an invitation for us parent to attend the opening ceremony of 2011 Children’s Biennial Art Exhibition of PAEA (Philippine Art Educators’ Association) entitled “LOVE ME. The exhibit was held at the 2 nd -4 th flr of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The Exhibit runs until January 1, 2012 Several schools were part of the exhibit; and I’m so proud that the arts work done by son’s group was chosen to be one of the participants. Nuvali Cup 2011 : Legends Rising

The day was just right, as our group head to Nuvali, Sta. Rosa. Nuvali   played host to sports legends in the making with Nuvali Cup 2011: Legends Rising last Sept. 24-25. An annual event designed to promote healthy active living through outdoor sports and encourage sports excellence. Nuvali pride itself with its vast land appropriate for large scale sport events. The Nuvali 2011: Legends rising is an event featuring over a thousand sports legend in the making. The event also feature performances from Freestylers    Key Members of the country's national teams from the Baseball Philippines, Philippine Askals and Philippine Volcanoes lead the sports code pledge during the opening ceremony.  Different schools and leagues battle it out in football, baseball and touch football. Clubs and school that compete includes De La Salle Zobel, Paref Southridge, Paref Woodrose, Ateneo de Manila, Canlubang Little League, De La Salle Lipa, Alabang Tigers, Brent, UP Dilima...
